It’s Official: Akshay Kumar & Kareena Kapoor's Film Is Titled ‘Good News’

Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor are set to give you a Good News. After Gabbar is Back, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor are reuniting for Karan Johar’s Dharama production, Good News. The film, which is directed by debutant Raj Mehta, also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani.

Taking it to social media, Akshay Kumar shared the ‘Good News’ and wrote, “Good News! That's the name of our film and so is the news I am sharing :) It is a ‘dramedy’ Due Date 19th July, 2019.”

While Karan Johar tweeted, “#GoodNews IS HERE! Bringing a fantastic cast of @akshaykumar, #KareenaKapoorKhan, @diljitdosanjh & @Advani_Kiara to the big screen with our debutant director @raj_a_mehta! This DRAMEDY's due date is 19th July 2019! @apoorvamehta18 @ShashankKhaitan @DharmaMovies #CapeOfGoodFilms”

Talking about the plot of the film, Mumbai Mirror had earlier reported that the film will narrate a story of a couple – Akshay and Kareena living in Delhi, trying to have a baby, while, another Punjabi couple Diljit and Kiara play a significant role in Akshay and Kareena’s life.

Co-produced by Cape Of Good Films, the film is set to release in July 2019.
